We require intelligent land use to protect our community from excessive growth and will not support  inappropriate development.
 
1) 340 – 344 Brewster (Brewster Street Partners, LLC) RED
Developer wishes construct three condominium units buildings and 2 new garages in the rear of an existing Historic house which will be renovated, accessed via a small garage.
 
Status: Has passed the Historic District hearing despite unanimous opposition by the surrounding neighbors. Developers will now go before either the P&Z or ZBA. More
 
2) 10 Jetland Street over to Brewster Street (St Marks) NO ACTION FOR NOW
This three acre site, it is currently mostly zoned Residential Two-Family and Three-Family Zones (R-B & R-BB) but partly Residential High Density Zone (R-C) is for sale.
 
Status: Options neighborhood perspectives for this property will be discussed at a meeting to be held on Tuesday, March 23rd @ 7pm at the Black Rock Library.
 
3) 2838 Fairfield Avenue, Black Rock Art Center NO ACTION FOR NOW
The City has issued an a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the purchase and redevelopment of 11,400 square feet building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
 
Status: The Neighborhood Revitalization Zone (NRZ) continue to monitor this, working with the City on what this building could contain..
 
4) 2838 Albion Street, NO ACTION NEEDED
Plan to build dental offices with 35 units of housing on the second floor.. A separate building for Internal Medicine and Behavioral Health is also proposed.
 
Status: Variances for height, floor area ratio and permission to have more than 10,000 sq ft space were granted. Construction on the $3.3M is to be completed by next fall.
 
5) 124 Old Battery Road, The Chimney’s, NO ACTION FOR NOW
3.07 acres owned by Randall Green , 08 tax assessment was $2M, it has 15,118 sq ft of living space in a residential AA zone, currently for sales.
 
Status: Proposal for a residential autism facility withdraw in June 2009.
